Beautiful day for football...

But not a beautiful day to lose to Rice with minutes left to play in the 4th quarter by 1 point.   Big bummer.  Anyways, moving on to the positive.  We scored some tickets to Saturday's game and had a great time. I picked out an awesome tailgating spot and we got to take a bus ride to the game.  Reesing and I were pretty pumped about getting to ride on the Jayhawk "Cool" bus (as Reesing would say) that we always see driving around town.

Then we headed through all of tailgating hot spots and me, without being told to & being the responsible brother that I am, grabbed my sister's hand and led her in the right direction.

And I just never let go.  My Mom and Dad couldn't get over the fact that we walked hand in hand the whole time.

We stopped and took some time out to watch the players run back into the locker room before the game and grabbing some high-fives from several of the players on their way in.

We had pretty good seats and got to give some love to Big Jay.

Big Jay doing the Rock Chalk chant pre-game.

Game Day!  Such a great feeling to have the smell of college football in the air.

Big Jay came back and guess who busted a move to the front of the line to see the big guy...

She was so happy to see Big Jay and weaseled her way through all the people to get up close, so of course he took some time to bend down on one knee and say hello.

Guess what she's eating.

Popcorn...and it was popcorn from the ground.  She couldn't stay out of it.  The kids above kept feeding it to her and she pretended to be their doggy and eat it.  She really does think she's a dog sometimes.

Proud to be a Jayhawk fan!
And again, as we leave the stadium at half-time to say hello to some friends I was sure to take the responsibility of Reesing.

Me with my friend, Preston and Reesing and Tommy.

We met a beautiful puppy that was so friendly.

Then another bus ride back to the car.

A great day for a football game, but a sad loss for the Jayhawks.  We'll get 'em next time. Hawks!
