Through the eyes of Reesing

Reesing loves to snag either mom or dad's phone and take pictures. It's always entertaining to flip through the shots she took. We thought we'd share some of them with our followers. Enjoy!

Going on a bear hunt

I was invited to my friend Ethan's birthday party this morning at Clinton Lake. We went on a nature hike looking for animals, but found no bears. It was great to see some of my old classmates from preschool again. A good time was had by all. Happy Birthday Ethan. Thanks for the party invite.

Fishes in the water

A few weeks ago we were invited to go swimming out at Aunt Raegann and Uncle Nick's house.  Mom was actually able to join in on the fun and was armed with her camera, as usual.  There were tons of great photos captured this day, but we only picked out a few of them to highlight in this post.  Thanks for the invite to swim and stay cool in these 100 degree temps Aunt Raegann & Uncle Nick!

No tippy toeing around...just jump right in.

There was lots of water gun fights.  Here is Miles blasting my dad and Reesing.

And they're quick to fire back!

Colton put on a very entertaining slam dunk competition.

Reesing loves jumping in over and over again.

And there were a lot of acrobatic stunts performed by us kiddos, courtesy of Dad's strong muscles.

And there was a lot of laughter and smiles.

No good pool day is complete without a good noodle battle, of course.

Then to finish it off...a ride on the 4 wheeler.
Uncle Nick: "Reesing...wave at the camera."

Loving the special time with Uncle Nick.
Reesing: "Cheese!"

Reesing:  "Enough of this cute stuff. Let's roll Uncle Nick."

A great weekend

It was a busy, but fun family weekend.  To start out the weekend we jumped from dinner to ice cream to bowling to movies at home on Friday night.

Then we kept the fun going on Saturday morning by attending the "Summer Bash" hosted by our pediatric dentist office, Growing Smiles.

There was lots of activities and fun things to keep us busy.  Reesing enjoyed chasing the bubbles.

She took her very own bubble bath.

We spent lots of quality time in the bounce houses.

Little crazy jumping monkey.

Rocked out at the bean bag toss.  Reesing and I both nailed all of our shots on the first try.
And collected some awesome prizes.

We then ventured to the duck pond and scored some more loot.  We ran around to the other various games, races, etc. and had a blast running from one to another.

But there was one game that Reesing just couldn't keep her eye off of...the dunk tank.  So, when mom asked her if she wanted to do it, she shouted YES and ran right in line.

Her eyes twinkled as the guy told her what to do to make the person fall in the water.  Unfortunately she never hit the target, but was told to run up there and hit the button and off she went.

SCORE!

My turn next.

I actually hit the target right on several times, and really hard even, but for whatever reason the gal didn't fall.

So, I took a page out of Reesing's book and went and slammed the target. Notice how I'm walking away calm, cool and collected with no regard for the person I just dunked.  That's just how I roll.

We took a break from the fun and enjoyed, sno cones, some gatorade, hot dogs, chips, cookies and popcorn.

We worked in a little climbing time.

And then Reesing requested we go back to the dunk tank.  By this time she knew the routine and was really looking forward to it even more.

Saturday afternoon we headed to a friend's birthday party. At the party I got to see several of my classmates from my preschool.

And have some fun on an enormous water slide with my friends.

Crash landing!

Reesing was not so interested in attempting the giant water slide, but had more fun playing/dangling on the play equipment.

Saturday was another great day full of fun and Reesing and I were both tuckered out by the end of the day.  Sunday we had a great family day while staying inside outta the heat.  Sunday was just as fun and we shared  lots of laughs. Hope that everyone had a great weekend!
