What a week

So glad that this week is coming to an end. Long story short for this week...mom took a spill last weekend & broke a leg bone. So, while she is laid up Dad has been taking care of everyone & everything. Mom is forever grateful. We love you Dad. Thanks for keeping the household together, like you always do.

Happy Birthday Reesing!

Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday dear Reesing!!!!
Happy Birthday to you!

It's official...Reesing turns 2 today. Her vocabulary has exploded & she's putting together clear sentences. She loves singing. Her two favorites are "you are my shunshine" (yes, she says shunshine-too cute) & "eat apples & bananas." Her favorite response...awright. She loves animals & thinks she's a dog. She loves playing with her dolls & following me around every where. She's become a little fish in the water & loves every minute of it. She's strong in mind & body & is very head strong. She's Miss. Independent right now & loves to do everything all by herself. She gives us many tears & laughs throughout the day. We love you so much Rees! Hope you have a wonderful day. Happy 2nd birthday!

And a special Happy Birthday shout out to my sister's birthday buddy & cousin...Colton! Happy Birthday Colton.  We hope that you have a very special day.

Photo shoot!

Mom took us to get our picture taken and Reesing and I were both in such a cooperative mood, that it made for a very easy photo shoot and some great pics!  Enjoy! There were too many photos to post, but let my mom know if there's on you want.

It's a jungle out there

Last Thursday was my first day of school in my new classroom, The Jungle Room. And, as I told Aunt Stacey later that day, "it was a bad day." Not sure if I woke up on the wrong side of the bed or was nervous about the new classroom or just plain tired, but it was not very smooth. I didn't want to go to school, my mom was panicking on me & the morning was a mess.

Please see grumpy pictures as exhibit A & B.

After mom left I decided to turn my frown upside down & the trachers let me be the very first one to color in a gum ball in the gum ball machine. When the machine gets completely filled with colored gumballs our class gets to have a gumball party. Yay! So, Im happy to report that today was a different story & I was excited to go to school & get the day started. So, now, we're finally ready for the start of a new school year. Oh yeah, & the best part is that my cousin, Miles, is in the same class with me this year. Good times will be had by all.

Cut your hair

Dad gave baby Rees a haircut last week. Her bangs were getting a little long so dad gave her bangs a good
'ol whack. Looks pretty good and now she can see without having any hair in her eyes.  Perfect timing with her 2nd birthday right around the corner. Great job Dad!

Nobody puts Baby in the corner

Well, unless Baby puts herself in the corner.  And that's just what my baby sister did.  She pulled the chair up in the corner and entertained herself there for about 45 minutes.

Let's go Hawks!

Last Saturday was KU's first football game, and our family went and cheered on the Jayhawks to a VICTORY against McNeese State.

Playing catch with dad, Uncle Mike, Macray and Calvin before the game.

Sissy cheering me on!

Kickoff

Break time

Calvin and I in pre-game warmups.

Taking the shuttle to the stadium.

And excited for every turn on the way.

Game time!

Bad call against our Jayhawks, and Rees let the refs have it!

Like we said before, Reesing loves the Jayhawks. So much that she spent 20 minutes showing the zebra the Jayhawk on her cheerleading outfit. Holding the zebra right in front of the Jayhawk, repeating,  "Hawk, hawk...hawk...hawk...see the hawk...see the hawk...hawk...hawk."

Boy, doesn't this drink look refreshing?

Well, before you ever try and take a drink of me and sissy's drink you'd better beware...

they really aren't nachos until you dip them into the soda. Yuck!  This is about the best way to ensure that nobody steals any sips out of our drinks.

Dad & Reesing having fun on the bus ride home.

Then back in the parking lot Reesing sweet talked her way into a balloon from neighbor tailgaters.  She played chase with Uncle Mikey trying to keep her balloon away from him.  She just kept going and going and when Uncle Mikey would stop she would antagonize him into playing some more.

The Hawks play Northern Illinois today.  So, cheers to the Hawks.  Go get 'em and bring home the WIN!
