Fun on Grandpa Rod's Farm!

A few weeks ago we were invited out to Grandpa Rod & Tracy's farm to celebrate Tracy's big 50th birthday. There was lots of great food, conversation & fun to be had. Happy Belated Birthday shout out to Tracy! Thanks for letting us be a part of the celebration. There is always a lot of fun stuff going on at the farm. On this special evening Grandpa Rod took all of the guests on a hay-rack ride.

I brought along my friend, Preston, and he really enjoyed the farm.

Little girl always loves sitting by her daddy.

And what do you think we saw on our hay-rack ride that made Reesing's mouth drop????

Lots of these....

Momma and her babe.

Before the ride we had lots of time to play on the hay-bales & tractor.

Backing that thing up!

My buddy Preston taking his turn.

Reesing shaking her booty and doing the hay-bale dance.

Me trying to figure out how to make this thing go.  Where is the gas pedal?!

It's a girl!

Yes, this is a girl.

But yesterday we got to take a peek at the new baby and found out that yet another girl is in my near future. In November I'll have another baby sister shadowing me day after day. After asking Dad if there was still time to change it into a boy and getting the bad news, Mom and Dad has given me hope with the fact that maybe Reesing and the new baby sister will spend so much time fighting with each other that they might just leave me alone! Now it's time to start thinking about names. My suggestion...Patricia. The girl version of Patrick off of Spongebob.

Yay for the 1st day of summer!

We've been having a lot of fun in the Urish household so far this summer. So much fun that time is flying by. How can it almost already be July? We've been enjoying a lot of baseball. Besides holding bat boy responsibilities for a team, we've also watched my cousin, Colton, play on his team the A's, and we've also caught some games of my cousin, Calvin, and his Astros team. I really can't wait until I can play on a team, and I 'm sure that time will be here before you know it.

Here I am wearing my Astros cap, in support of my cousin Calvin's team.

Dad, Mom, Reesing & I recently went to watch one of Colton's games & Reesing loved playing in the dirt.

Then she loved running the bases with Uncle Nick after the game.

Miles running the bases.

Miles, Reesing & myself practicing our slide home.

Reesing made a friend.

Reesing stole my Astros hat.  Check out the hand print on the hat. I'm guessing she got in someone's way and they gave her a friendly pat out of the way, but left the evidence!

Colton and his team in their post game chat.

And Colton after the game showing off his dirty uniform.

Urish Racing

We're hoping for another great weekend of racing like the last. We'll be spending Father's Day out at the race track, and that is definitely how my father would love to spend his special day.   The L-town division of Urish Racing had a decent run of  racing last weekend.

Two huge (and pretty cute too) Urish Racing fans.  Happy Friday to all!  Happy Father's Day to all the Father's out there. Hope you enjoy the weekend.

A trip to the zoo

Reesing and I got to go to the zoo last week with a very special person.  Our good family friend, and who I like to call my "girlfriend", Lindsey Howard.  She picked Reesing and I up on Friday and took us to the Topeka Zoo.  We had a blast and Lindsey spoiled us rotten.  Thankfully we were good kids while at the zoo so Lindsey wasn't too tempted to switch us out with the monkeys while at the zoo. We each got to pick out a special penguin to bring home (a stuffed penguin that is), and the penguins have not left our side since.  Every night at bedtime Mom has two new critters to tuck in alongside Reesing and I.   We had a great time and want to say THANK YOU to Lindsey for making our day so special. Mom says thanks for taking and sharing such great photos with us so that this blog post was possible.

Bat Boy

My dad's friend Brad coaches a Lawrence Legion ball team during the summer. The team happened to have a job opening for bat boy. I applied, interviewed & make the squad as bat boy. Tuesday night I made my debut. It was a really fun time & I was hired for the rest of the season. So, by the end of the summer I'm going to be pro at it.

Here's the bat boy cheering section.  Notice Reesing's enthusiasm in this picture.

My sister would get into it at some points throughout the game..."there's my Manny...I love my Manny."

And here I am making my debut on the field.

I spent a lot of time running bats and balls back and forth.

And my little sis spent a lot of time playing in the rocks, enjoying a nice cold Sonic drink and cheering on her Manny.

Sister was so excited to try on the sweaty stinky helmets, and she loved every minute of it.

And at the end of the game I hit a few balls and took a few runs around the bases. At the end of the night, I'm not sure who were my biggest fans...my dad, mom and sister, the team,  or the crowd of moms in the stands who cheered me on as I ran the bases and kept exclaiming how cute I was and that they wanted to just squeeze me.  Some of the moms said that I was the highlight of the game b/c the good guys did not win.  Looking forward to my regular duty every Tuesday night.
