A merry Christmas Eve

So far, so good on this Christmas Eve. The house is filled with excited children and lots of chaos.

Frog, the elf, spent his last day doing a high chair take-over of KU's spot.

In the evening we took Gammee Linda out to see some Christmas lights. Only to arrive home and be greeted by Mom's friend Maryse with candy and our dear friend, Lindsey with presents.

Then we received a knock on the door and was greeted by presents from Santa's helper. We are now on a HIGH!

Reesing got a neat bunny hat.

Manning got race cars from Santa's helper.

And little baby KU got a hat that she loves.

It was a great surprise from Santa 'a helper. And now after story time with a few Christmas favorites, we are snug in our bed and ready for Christmas morning.  Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas Eve.

A little Christmas cheer

Reesing rang in the holiday season with a  Christmas musical debut on the big stage at Kid's First preschool earlier today. Thanks to Gammee Linda for coming to watch, the reason for such huge waves from the stage during one of the songs. It made my day to have you there!  All the practice on these songs sure did pay off.

A fun Saturday

Saturday was a very busy day. Started the day watching cousin Miles play basketball and cheering him and his team onto a victory. Then my basketball team took the court. And between Miles and I, we represented the family well by both scoring several baskets. Yay Miles and Manning!

      Miles playing tough defense.

Miles running down the court back on offense.

And he shoots, he scores!

Manning throwing the ball in.
Bringing the ball up the court.

Practicing my lay-ups.

Preparing the shoot.
Playing defense.

At the same time of the game Aunt Julie, and family, took Reesing to a play of Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.

And the day was tipped off with Christmas cookies and art projects at Aunt Julie's. It was a great busy Saturday in December.

A happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving came and went in the blink of an eye and now it's already December.  We have a lot to be thankful for this year.  There was lots of bread to be torn into pieces, lots of turkey eaten and good fun had by all.  Kawlins enjoyed this Thanksgiving a lot more than the previous year.  She was only a few weeks old last Thanksgiving, so she was able to enjoy the holiday a lot more this year.  Reesing and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday break from school spending some extra time at home with Mom and Dad. We hope that you all had a wonderful holiday.

Calvin, Madison and Manning breaking up the bread for Grandma Linda's famous stuffing.

Kawlins right in the middle of the action having a ball and loving it.

I think she had more fun eating the bread than actually helping.
Reesing and Madison helping Grandma Linda every step of the way. Bless Madison's heart.

Thanksgiving Day...not sure where Kawlins is.
Kawlins enjoyed her Thanksgiving lunch, but she enjoyed playing peek-a-boo with the tablecloth more than eating.  Go figure.

Still not sure where Kawlins went.

I think I might have an idea.

 Peek-a-boo!

And all that peek-a-boo action tuckered Kawlin out. That and the comfort of Taylor's lap.

Seriously...who doesn't dip their Cool Ranch Dorito chip in Cool Whip.  C'mon?!

Friday, Friday, Friday. It is Friday!

Three little Jayhawks.

And a pirate.

And a bad selfie of a 6-year old.

And better yet.
By the time this boy leaves this house we'll be lucky if there is anything still standing. If you enter this house you gotta be aware of flying footballs, basketballs, golf balls, tennis balls, baseballs. You name it. A visit to our house should be "BYOHH" bring your own hard hat!  That's boys for you.

Reesing decorating the tree.
Reesing still decorating the tree while Manning photo bombs mom's photo with a spectacular catch to win his football game.

We have a walking baby!

A little shy of turning13 months Kawlins officially started walking two days ago on Tuesday, December 3rd (official approved by Dad).  She started out the day testing the waters and trying to practice her skills testing herself all day long by walking short distances between things.  By the evening she was walking back and forth between us.  Know when she gets lazy she'll crawl, but it won't be but a matter of time that she's running.  For right now she looks like a baby deer walking for the first time...wobbly.  It's pretty comical to witness and no matter what kind of day you're having, will make you smile.  We love you Kawlie Wallie!  Keep on truckin!
