New hit song...

Reesing’s in love
With her automobile
Says she feels so sassy
From behind the wheel
She got dual carburetors
Ported and relieved
She pull the soft top down
She makes the devil believe
Packs a 427
Down on 101
Crack a buck 10-11
On the radar gun
She roll it over to the shoulder
Moving past her man
Swing it back to the fast lane
Singing catch me if you can
She got 5 speed, 4 elevens,
Ten thirteen in a quarter mile
Trick gas, full blown nitrous
Speed queen with a smile
Ride, ride, ride
Let Reesing ride
Drive, drive, drive
Let Reesing drive
Ride, ride, ride
Let Reesing ride
Drive, drive, drive
Let Reesing drive
Drive, drive, drive
Got long tall Reesing
Blastin’ on the box
Just like mustang Reesing
Kicked up a notch
Puts the pedal to the metal
Tacking 7 grand
Smoking 50 yards of rubber
In the rear view mirror
Singing catch me if you can

Thinking of you Grandma Gardner

My Great Grandma Gardner fell the other morning and broke her leg. She had a successful surgery today that might even result in her walking better then she had been previously. You've been on our mind Grandma and we wish you a speedy recovery. Love you!

Below are pictures from Grandma Gardner's 90th birthday party in St.Louis almost 4 years ago.

Aunt Nick, Uncle Raegann, baby Miles (at the time) and Grandma Gardner all smiles.

Me as a baby on my Grammee Linda's lap and my 2nd cousin Sophie on Aunt Sally's lap.

A birthday's not quite complete without the happy birthday song and cake.  Get to feeling better soon.

Manning's Art Show

Here are some of the art pieces that I did at school.  Lots more art pictures to post.  We do a lot of art at school and I really enjoy it. Our art teachers teach us several different painting techniques. We've painted with everything from our fingers, q-tips, potatoes and coffee filters.  I've definitely learned a lot this past year.

Down on the farm.  Don't ask me how I got that goat up to the second level of the barn. It was tough.

 Finger painting.

Talking penguin.
 Snowflake.
"When I grow up I want to be a race car driver" picture. Then I drew a lot of racetracks, and I do mean a lot.

Potato art.  We used potatoes cut up into different shaptes to paint with.
 Snowman.
Picture from Kansas Day.  (Yes, this was back in January, but we're playing catch up.)

A peek into the future

This is a scene of what is to come. Us two cruising around together in dad's truck having fun and hopefully not causing any trouble...yea right.

Reesing is infatuated with getting into cars and pretending to drive.

It's a fight to get her outta the driver's seat. This is usually the response you get from her.

Check you later.  We got to go.  Bye bye for now.

Gotta love family

Back in April, on dad's birthday to be exact, we received a package in the mail.  It was from Team Urish in Illinios.  Hmmmm...what could it be?!  Well, below is a picture of an absolute sweetheart named Eileen.  She's the daughter of Tim and Debbie Urish. Tim is cousins with my Grandpa Rod.  We've been on several trips to Illinois ever since I have been little and was quick to make friends with Eileen.  Her and I are buds. She's such a great person, well, at least we thought so, until this package arrived in the mail. Below is a picture of me and Eileen at Chris and Leslie's wedding back in February. Eileen is so much fun to be around and we had a really great time hanging out.

This is the note that accompanied the mysterious package.

What did they mean by an Illini family photo?  Well, just check out the loot they sent us.  Illinois gear for everyone in the family. Reesing got a cheerleader outfit, dad and mom got Illinois shirts and I got an Illinois football shirt. Funny right? Especially for a KU diehard family with children named under the influence of KU.

We have yet to take a family photo but we will do so soon. Thanks for the gear Tim, Debbie, Nick, Gavin and Eileen.  That was very thoughtful of you and mom gets a little frustrated with me because the Illinois football shirt is one of my favorites and I wear it immediately after it is fresh out of the wash. When we're out and about we often hear, "so, you're Illinois fans?"  Hmmm...well, not exactly but we sure do love a lot of people from there.  But no, you cannot have Bill Self back.

I actually feel asleep while Eileen was holding me at the wedding. The verdict is in and I still think she's pretty great.

Kid's First Preschool

If you're in the market for a preschool, I would gladly recommend Kid's First preschool . I have so much fun and really learn a lot.  There's always something fun going on at school.  Mom and I try to keep the blog up to date with everything that goes on at school, but once we get behind it's hard to get caught up.  So, below are some pictures of some of the fun we've been having at school.

We did a butterfly habitat at school.  We watched the transformation of caterpillars into butterflies and then released the full grown butterflies into the wild once they were ready. I named one of them Ju-Ju and speak often of Ju-Ju's release into the free world.
Last month the teachers at my school were doing a fundraiser for The Relay for Life where they worked two different shifts at the local Runza and part of the proceeds went to The Relay for Life fund.  Mom, sissy and I joined my teachers and lots of other people from my school and enjoyed a nice dinner at Runza while supporting a good cause. They had a "construction for a cure" theme and were geared with all of the necessary tools.

Sissy, Mrs. Huffman, me and Mrs. Kelly. These are two really great teachers and we've been lucky to have them for this school year.  Thanks to the both of you for a great year! Also,  Mrs. Kelly is the one who has been supplying my mom all year long (many of them featured on the blog) with all the great photos of my school activities during the day.  Thank you Mrs. Kelly for sending the photos to my mom and dad so that they can still be a part in my daily activities. We do appreciate it.

Also, last month the Humane Society came out to visit and brought from furry friends to share with us.

The first was a cute little doggy.

As you can see, the little dog was quite popular with me and my classmates.

Then there was a bunny.

And a gecko. It was great to see the different animals.

Mom and I went shopping for some dog and cat supplies to donate to the Humane Society and we dropped them off at school this same day. We picked out some toys, treats, food, litter and other necessities for the dogs and kitties.  So, the Humane Society picked up all the goodies that our school had collected and took it back to the furry friends that they watch over and they were very thankful for the generosity.

And this is how the story goes...

Mom: Reesing....what did you do to your face? Did you color your face with marker? It's all over.

Reesing:  I don't know what you're talking about. Let me see what you're looking at.
Reesing:  Oh...I see what you mean.

Reesing: That does look like marker to me.

 Reesing:  BBWWWAAAAA!
Mom: (Shakes her head.)
