Goodbye 2012...Hello 13

As we celebrate the end of another year we also celebrated Kawlins turning 7 weeks today. 2012 was a great year and the Urish family has many things to feel blessed about. We added another healthy and happy player to our team, I started kindergarten, Reesing started preschool, we are all alive and healthy, have a roof over our heads, full bellies and a lot of wonderful friends and family surrounding us. A lot to be thankful for. We're looking forward to a fabulous 2013 and can't wait to get the party started. Happy New Year's Eve everyone!

The thought of turning 7 weeks old tomorrow has tuckered Kawlins out. Ahhh...the rough life of a baby.

A Very Merry Little Christmas

We were obviously good kiddos this year because Santa made a stop at our house on Christmas Eve. We woke up in the morning to Santa presents under the tree and stockings overflowing with goodies. It was Kawlins 1st Christmas and she loved every minute of it.

From our family to yous, we hope that all of you had a very MerryChristmas!

Christmas Eve!

Four hours until Christmas and we are in full preparation mode. Candy made. Cookies for Santa in progress. Christmas fun today. Kawlins catching up on her sleep. Presents under the tree. We're ready. Hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas Eve!

Santa is close

Just a few minutes after setting out the cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer the doorbell rang. Santa's elves dropped off some special presents from the big guy himself. He left a trail of candy canes, leading us to the special gifts. We know he's close and the sooner we get to sleep the sooner it will be Christmas morning. A little over an hour until Christmas morning.

Thank you elves! Thank you Santa! Stay warm tonight.

Countdown to Christmas

Happy Christmas Eve Eve everyone! We've had so much fun leading up to Christmas. Aunt Julie gave Reesing & I advent calendars to count down the days until Christmas, which we've been having fun with. Aunt Julie also did a Christmas holiday craft with us kiddos, creating a very cute handprint keepsakes for each of us. Thank you Aunt Julie! We've had Christmas sing-a-longs, Santa visits
and lots of holiday fun. We're preparing for a Christmas Eve full of fun. Sleep tight and we'll see you on Christmas Eve!

Christmas Sing-a-long

Reesing had a sing-a-long at her preschool last week. It was a great performance, with Reesing leading her fellow classmates along through every song. She loves to sing and was very comfortable being center stage. The song, Jingle Bells, never sounded do sweet!

The good list or the naughty list?

We made it downtown to visit Santa Clause and let him know all of the good things we've been doing, in hopes of earning spots on the good list. I put my request into the big guy...a phone. Reesing then put in her request...a hippopotamus. Yes, a hippopotamus just like the song. So, we're clearing room in the garage for Reesing's hippo & I'm getting all the digits from my classmates to enter into my phone. Tall orders for Santa this year. I just hope we've been good enough! 4 more days until Christmas!

Snow Day!

Today was Manning's very 1st snow day of his school days.  We went to bed last night with plans of attending one more day of school before the winter break.  Woke up this morning to snow on the ground and an phone call stating that there would be no school.  What?!!  What a better way to start the winter Christmas break! We played games, played in the snow, swam in the hot tub and pretty much rocked the day.  Needless to say, I really enjoyed my 1st snow day telling my mom that this was the best day ever.  So, Reesing and I are both out of school until January and plan on having lots of fun until then.

Thanks for everyone's patience while we took a short pause here on TeamManning.  We're back up and running and have so much to get everyone caught up on.  Stay tuned for lots more posts.

And this is how Kawlins spent most of the snow day...sleeping...

in the laundry basket.   When the kids outnumber the parents weird things happen.

Kawlins, who is 5 weeks this week, took her first bath with me and Reesing and she loved it.   More fun bath times to come.  And mom thought we get too much water on the floor now, just wait until there are 3 of us bouncing around in there!
