It's Potty Time

Be it accident. Be it on purpose.  This little girl sat down and went potty on the big girls' potty this past weekend.  Either way, it's a great start. Woo Hoo!

There's a good story behind this monumental event.  We've been working with Reesing on sitting on the potty, but she is still very convinced that the only way she can go potty is by lifting her shirt up (exposing her cute little belly), hips sticking out front and  swaying back and forth, such as her brother does (minus the penis).   She spends so much time around dad and myself that she thinks she's part of the "standing" crew.  So, this past Saturday Reesing starts pulling her shirt up (exposing her belly) while at the same time trying to open the door to the backyard, where the boys sometimes go pee.  Mom recognized this sign and so she grabs her hand and walks her to the little girl's potty and holy cow....she sat down and went potty. After going potty on the big girl's potty she still had to complete the routine by going out in the backyard, pulling her shirt up over her belly and taking "the stance" while swaying back and forth for a few seconds.  Her process was then complete. She's a little confused right now, but hopefully she'll figure out that she is a girl and is missing a crucial part that excludes her from the "standing crew."

An angel finally got her wings.

Last Wednesday we traveled out to St. Louis to lay to rest our precious Grandma Eleanor (White) Gardner.  The sun was shining down on the family last Wednesday and there couldn't have been a more beautiful day to honor such a beautiful lady.   We love you. Rest in peace Grandmother.

We should of named her Reesing "Baller" Urish

The girl's got some great moves on the basketball court.  She definitely takes after her daddy in that department.

The hot tub is clean

Gosh, we've been a little absent on TeamManning lately.  There's been many things consuming our time, specifically one big thing, but we would rather not talk about it now, but hope that at a later date we'll have a great blog post about it, where we can say that we came out on top. Anyways, my sister and I have been enjoying the summer and are always doing something fun.  Last weekend my sister, my mom and myself cleaned the hot tub cover.  We used lots of water and soap, and guess what?  Some of the soapy water must have found it's way into the hot tub. It made for a very bubbly adventure in the hot tub. I will say though, the hot tub cover looks great now!

Doug's shadows

First dad starts mowing. Then I pick up my mower and begin the chase.

What's Reesing think about all of this?

 Tag me...I'm in.

After the official high-five.  She joins the team.

And away we go!

It's a mowing frenzy at the Urish household.

Making some great patterns in the yard.

Similar to synchronized swimming, we are adding some line formations to the fun.

Dad and Reesing perfecting the "fan" move.

Teamwork even on the cleanup. Way to go Team Urish! The yard has never looked so good.
