Girl's weekend

Reesing & Mom got to spend a lot of quality time together this past weekend, just the girls. Last night Mom & Reesing went to a friend's house & had an evening full of great conversation, food & fun. Then on Saturday morning Mom, Reesing & I went to the library to check out some more books. Early Saturday afternoon Dad & I headed over to the Great Pumpkin Race in Topeka to watch my cousin Colton race. Reesing & mom hung out together the rest of the day. Mom broke out the special Halloween drinking cups. They painted each other's nails. They finished off their evening chilling in bed watching some Franklin while Reesing fed Mom Goldfish, saying "eat the fishy, eat the fishy" while making a "munch munch" sound every time she fed her one.  As Aunt Raegann would say...girls just wanna have fun.

Notice Reesing's nicely painted nails.

And this work week takes the checkered flag!

I know that I have spoke on this blog before about the love & passion I have for racing. It is one of my favorite hobbies. I love racing cars, playing race cars, watching race cars & reading about race cars. During the summer Dad & I are kept busy going from race to race to watch my Uncle Willie, cousin Chris Urish & cousin Colton Berger race. it's what Dad & I live to do. Reesing joined us for a few races & Mom is saving up for next year. She's saving up for next year because I will finally start racing! I have my car, racing suit & really cool helmet (thanks to my cool cousin Chris). I'm ready to start racing. We've been talking about "when I am able to race" for about 4 1/2 years now. I couldn't be more excited. So, next summer check in with my mom for my racing schedule & come out to cheer me on. Until then...Dad & I will just keep practicing.

My racing cousin Colton and I.  Also, check out the super fabulous "as real as it gets" dirt track I have in my bedroom.  Thanks mom and dad.

Pumpin pancakes

The trip to the pumpkin patch really helped us find our Halloween spirit. Since then we've been planning, talking & trying on costumes for the big event. Then on Sunday we started the day with jack-o-lantern pumpkins & finished the day with story time featuring all books involving Halloween/pumpkins. I think we'll be really ready by the time Halloween gets here!

Watch out...

I've got my very own library card & I'm not afraid to use it.
Mom, Reesing & made a very lively appearance at the library a couple months ago & mom finally signed me up for my very own library card. Score! We walked away with a handful of books. We always have a good time at the library, but now I've got some responsibility to return my books & such. Oh the pressure!

Pumpkin Patch

My preschool class took a trip to the pumpkin patch last week. My cousin, Miles, is also in the Jungle Classroom. So, Aunt Raegann, Dad & Reesing joined Miles & I on our field trip. We had a blast picking out pumpkins and checking out the butterfly habitat. There was a lot of fun activities to do & we did all of it. Mom didn't join due to her bad wheel, but thanks to my awesome Aunt Raegann we still captured many great pictures of the fun.

Earning their spot on the "good" list this year for Christmas

With Mom's bum leg and Dad being as stretched as he can be right now taking care of everyone, Reesing and I decided to pitch in and get some laundry done this weekend.

Doing our best to pull together as a team.

Mom and Dad really appreciated the help and Reesing and I had a great time.
