Happy Halloween...a little late.

Well, we're a little late wishing everyone a Happy Halloween. We hope that everyone had a safe holiday filled with lots of good trick & treats. We had a great holiday. We kicked off the weekend by welcoming mom home from her work trip to Kentucky on Saturday morning. Then we celebrated Saturday night with some spider pizza & Halloween books & movies.
Sunday we continued the fun with pumpkin carving, spider cupcakes, smores, t-shirt painting & lots of other fun stuff. Then Monday morning Reesing & I woke up with jitters in our pants, ready for Halloween. Monday was a day of sugar highs &Tuesday was filled with sugar hangovers.

One very excited KU football player and one "not so sure" fuzzy little monkey.

Then out came  a very grouchy monkey(look at that face). Reesing is very talented and can play many different roles.

The great pumpkin hunt...at Hy Vee...of course, because that's the only place a momma with a cast on her leg is willing to go for pumpkins.

Reesing really focused on creating her jack-o-lantern.

Reesing soon got bored with finishing her jack-o-lantern and found a spot in the sun while reading some books to one of her good friends, Duce.  I think Duce enjoyed "Curious George goes to a costume party" as much as Rees did.

Halloween goodies!

Reesing trying to figure out exactly how the vampire teeth really operate.

Big brother figured out the vampire teeth really quick.

Then, she finally got it.
 Mean scary guy.

Family "U" pumpkin included in this photo.

Reesing's little happy pumpkin...and yes, she is filthy.  She's wearing evidence of a little dirt, some chocolate and probably some left over dog food on her cheeks, which she loves to eat.

And Manning's scary face pumpkin.

Mom had given up some Halloween goodies and one of them was a sticky slimy spider. I played a little trick on mom when my mouse got stuck on the ceiling.  I succeeded  in getting my "tricks" in this Halloween.

Smores!

Reesing really enjoyed the smores.

Sugar high setting in.

Reesing working on her very own spider cupcake.

Reesing's masterpiece!

Spider cupcakes finished!

Reesing already had a Halloween shirt and I did not, so Mom and I got creative with some t-shirt paint.  Below is a picture of the rough finished product, prior to dusting off the excess paint.

Another Halloween post to come filled with more pictures and a hilarious story you must check back to hear.
