Fire station field trip

Reesing had a field trip to a fire station on Monday. Mom was lucky enough to get to go with her & snapped some pictures. The firefighters were really great with the kids and took extra care in teaching them fire safety. The fire house was pretty nice & the kids loved exploring every inch of it.  Hooray for a fun field trip with her classmates!

10 months for Kawlins

Our precious Kawlies, Kaw Kaw, Kawlins turned 10 months this past Thursday. Some of her favorites is a head shake to the word "no" and showing off her clapping & stomping skills. She LOVES music. If there is a tune on she is grooving to it. She started crawling shortly after her 9 month mark, but now she's lightning speed fast on all 4s & it won't be long before she's walking. She pulls up on everything and walks her way around to where she wants to go. She also loves eating, and really doesn't turn anything away. Doug's family thinks she looks like me and my family thinks she looks like Doug, go figure. She is the happiest when she is with her daddy or right in the middle of the action. She admires from afar when dad wrestles with the other kids. She can't wait to be in the middle of it all. She's got two teeth on the bottom and is good at using them. She also loves to listen to books when it's storytime at night. It's been a fun 10 months Kawlins can't wait to celebrate the 1-year mark with you! Love you Kawlies! XOXO

Busker Festival

The family headed downtown a few weekends to take in a bit of the Busker Festival. Despite the intense heat, fun was had by all.

Reesing's 1st day Under the Sea

Reesing's first day in her preschool "under the Sea" classroom was today. She was joined by some familiar faces from last year and is already enjoying her new teachers. Mom & her went last Friday for a meet the teachers day and a good time was had by all!good luck this year Reesing! Have fun with your class of "Wonderful Whales" swimming under the Sea!

1st grade here I come!

Today was the first day of school and It was a great day! I switched schools this year and I love everything about my new school.  I am so excited to get this year going. Day 1 is in the books. There is even a friend in my new class who I went to school with last year. Things are off to a great start! 

She's a cardholder

Reesing got signed up for her very own library card today! After a trip to the pet store we made a trip to the library, enjoyed storytime and got Reesing's very own library card. She was so very proud. It was also Kawlie's first trip to the library, and she really enjoyed it. Her favorite part was when they broke out the guitar and busted into so at storytime. She quickly clamored to her feet, began shaking her booty and stomping her feet. Encouraged by ohhhs and ahhhs from everyone around.
