A Rock Chalkin' Good Time

More pictures from the KU game that our family went to a few weeks ago.
 Measuring my wingspan.

And checking Reesing's wee little wingspan.

Comparing our shoe size to some of the KU greats.

And our hand size.

Warmups!

In awe of Allen Fieldhouse

Please meet our new friend...

Frosty. Thankfully, this is as close as we've gotten to snow here in Kansas, so far this winter. He is a pretty quiet guy & has been pretty low maintenance since he's been hanging around.

Pizza night

One of the favorite meals in our house is homemade pizza night. Reesing & I love helping mom make pizza. Even Tupac Shakur or Aunt Jemima (a.k.a. Manning) likes to make pizzas every now & again. My favorite is hamburger pizza & Reesing's is pepperoni & hamburger pizza.

Little Miss Sunshine

We're a little behind on reporting Reesing's 2 year stats. Yes, her 2nd birthday was on September 21st & we went to the doctor's office on the 23rd to get her stats, but Mom & I are just now getting around to reporting on it. . The doctor said she was growing well.

Height - 33" 28th percentile
Weight - 27lbs. 56th percentile
Head circumference - 19.25". 85th percentile

Personal stats:
Reesing's favorite song "You are my Sunshine"
She loves cookie crisp & chocolate milk.
She is a comedian & is always making us laugh. She loves annoying her brother, cooking food in her kitchen, playing with her baby dolls & following her brother around.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Reesing's first time in Allen Fieldhouse.  This is her reaction to the Rock Chalk chant. In awe!

T
So much to take in & such little time.

My view during the Rock Chalk chat.  Thank goodness my dad is tall! Best seat in the house.

During a commercial break a camera crew had earlier filmed us in Allen Fieldhouse checking out the museum and the interactive games.  We had no idea what kind of a camera crew and had no idea what kind of film they were taking b/c, honestly, everyday at KU there is almost always some student walking around with cameras filming something for a class project or something.  So, we didn't really think much of until....timeout on the court and once the game was back up and running both Mom and Dad's phones started blowing up with people telling us that they had just seen footage of us on t.v.  Wow!

Please take notice of Reesing doing her famous dog impersonation in this pic.

And here's she' doing the sleeping frog.

And a pic with the namesake...well a life size picture of the namesake.

Seats like this might not be desirable to others, but to a family with two small kids, they are priceless.  And, by the way, for our family there is no such thing as a bad seat in the house when you're in Allen Fieldhouse! Thanks for making this night Grammy!

Reesing's favorite part of the game...snack time!

I wanna ROCK!!!

One of Reesing's newest catch phrase is "I wanna ROCK." sometimes these lyrics come with side kicks & some air guitar, but sometimes she just sings it repeatedly for several minutes. There is no doubt...Reesing always wants to rock. She might have a future in rock n' roll. Guess we'll have to wait & see.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

This is how Santa rolls in our house.  Santa's Jayhawk hat.

The search for the perfect Christmas tree...and we found one.

Dad sawing off the trunk of the tree.  Maybe he will pass this tradition down to me someday.

A
A little Christmas magic was brought to our house this Christmas holiday, courtesy of Aunt Julie. He is a magical elf who flies to the North Pole every night reporting to Santa Reesing & I's good deeds and "not so nice" actions of the day.  He comes back every night and lands in a new spot.  Introducing to you the newest member of the family...Frog.

Anxious to check out the Christmas decorations and get started trimming the tree.

I love this adorable pose from Reesing the moment she saw all of the Christmas decorations.
She had a sparkle in her eye that said she was in awe.

Mom, Reesing and I worked really good together when decorating the tree.  Mom fixed all the ornaments, put them in a plastic tub, handed them to Reesing and then she brought them to me to hang on the tree.

Reesing, of course, had some of her own special decorations to hang.

And yes, KU was playing that day, so all 3 of us were showing our KU spirit from head to toe.

And the best line of the day...At one point in the decoration process I turned to mom and said, "Hey Mom we really need some more hookers. I just don't think we're going to have a enough hookers to decorate this tree."  Mom:  "Hmmmm...you mean hangers?"  Me:  "Yes, those hookers.  We need a lot more!"
