After the awards ceremony at the Western Grands we bought this little guy, named Fiser. He's a 12 week old chihuahua and we are in love with the little guy. He's adjusted quite nicely and plays well with the kids. Fiser is the name of the brand of car Manning races. Run further. Run faster. Run Fiser! Welcome to the family little buddy. We love you!

The night before summer
'Twas the night before school was out when all through the house,
Last school lunch for the year. Mom ate with Manning and the 3rd grade crew.
A person can't eat two school lunches in one day, said this mom Never! Cheers to the last school lunch as a kindergartner Reesy Baby!
Every creature was stirring...even a mouse...I'm sure!
The backpacks were hung by the front door with care,
In hopes that morning would quickly be there;
The children were not nestled all snug in their beds;
While they jumped around and visionsof late nights and summer sugar rushes danced in their heads;
And mamma in her pj's and I in my ball cap
Had just settled our butts on the couch for a short evening's nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my Royals replay to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the blinds and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the newly-mowed grass,
Gave a lustre of midday to objects Dancing around in the bedroom below,
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But three little monsters and three tiny shadows,
With such busy shadows, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment they must be,
More rapid than ninjas, more feisty than rabid dogs
So I whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
"Now, Manning! now, Mans! now Reesing and Reesy baby!
On, Kawlins on, KU on, Man-Rees-KAw...oh what's your name?
To the top of the bunk bed! to the top of the wall!
Now go to sleep! Go to sleep! Go to sleep all!"
As leaves that before the wild spring tornados they fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, they act really sly;
So up to the beds the shadows they flew
With hands full of toys, and Yearbooks too—
And then, in a twinkling, I heard down below
More prancing and pawing of six tiny feet
As I drew in my head, and was turning downstairs;
Out came the three little monsters came with a bound.
They were all freshly bathed and damp from their heads to their toes,
And their pajamas were all covered with things that they love;
Each had a pillow they had flung over their backs
And they looked like pedlers just begging for more time.
Their eyes—how they twinkled! All six dimples, how merry!
Little cheeks were like roses, noses as cute as cherries!
Their sad little mouths was perched as to plead their case
As to why they should be able to stay up all night;
The stump of a toothbrush one had stuck in their teeth,
Brought so much pride it encircled their heads like a wreath;
One had a round little face and another with hardly even a belly
That shook when they giggled like a bowl full of jelly.
Not one was chubby nor plump, but still symbolic of three jolly old elves,
And I laughed when I saw them , in spite of myself;
A wink of my eye, a smile and a shake of my head
Soon let them know they had nothing to dread;
They spoke not a word, but turned and went straight to work,
And putting all the toys away; then turned with a jerk,
Finished brushing their teeth & hair and
And giving a nod, one by one they lined up for hug;
They sprang to their beds, to the 3 little monsters I gave a whistle,
And away they all dropped into bed like they had just heard a train whistle.
But as I shut the door after kissing each one of them good night...I shouted...
“Go to bed! Tomorrow is Happy Summer to all, and to all a good night!”

KU lunch buddies
KU started the lunch buddies group at preschool. She stays a little longer to play after school & eats lunch with her friends. She really enjoys it & is wore out afterwards. She's going to miss her friends during the summer.
