The Douglas County Fair took place a few weeks ago. My mom, dad and I made a trip out there one evening and had a great time.
I really had no interest in the chaos of the carnival. The circus groupies looked scary and there was a lot of commotion. We did stroll through the madness and check it out. I got the bird's eye view from atop my dad's shoulders.
My favorite part was the tractor pull. The "man" thing to check out while at the fair. It was fun watching all the big tractors.
I had crawled up to the top of the bleachers to check out the tractor pull and realized that I was sitting next to a big toothless redneck who was "very" into the tractor pull. I couldn't quite figure him out. He was a very interesting man. Dad and I got to look at some of the tractors up close. This Moline was one of my favorites.

On to the cows...another big highlight of mine. We all found it humorous that the sign to the old ball field where a lot of the cows were kept stated "Animals prohibited on field." We first met this cow. He was a very nice cow and I was very interesting in getting to know him a little better.
You can find these things called "cow patties" everywhere. It's like a treasure hunt, just not so much of a treasure.
Then we went into the cow barn to check out the only cows we knew on a personal level, and also our favorites, the cows from Neis Farms. As you can see, Tracy's cow is named "Milky Way" and Brett's is named "Bud".
Here is a picture of Milky Way and Bud. We were unable to take a picture of Travis' cow. Maybe next time. Anyways, we had a great evening and got to see lots of great things. I was a lot of fun.
