If you've never played "500 Q-Tip Pick Up," then take my recommendation and don't. It was a lot of fun showering the Q-tips all over the room, but was not much fun to pick them all up. Sorry mom and dad.

Our draft pick is final!
We're all smiles at Team Manning.
We're happy to announce, a few days prior to the NFL draft, Team Manning has completed their own 2009 draft and have finalized our pick for this upcoming season. Our newest team member, whom I have nicknamed "Big Eyes," will be making their debut to Team Manning around September 28th sometime, so the doctor tells us. We'll see if he's right. Right now he/she is still just a wee little thing and weighs in at a few ounces and only a few inches long, but is still growing and we expect that they will put on some extra pounds between now and gametime. Below is the first (sorry for the tiny fuzzy image)picture of "Big Eyes" that was recently released to the public. Next month, we'll have another picture and will know whether we're welcoming a boy or a girl teammate. Either way, we are so excited for our new teammate to join us in September. I'm so excited to have a teammate to help me make mom and dad crazy! It'll be double trouble now. We'll keep you updated as the stats roll in.

KU spring game...here we come!
Last Saturday I went to the KU spring football game with my mom, dad, Grandma Linda and cousin Macray.
I don't know why people always eat their hotdogs with this silly bun. It's just as easy without one.
I met a really big white dog who came out for the event. Don't remember his name, just remember him being a really big dog.
Then we got in line to receive a free bike helmet. They had a whole area set up for kids only with huge moonwalks, games, etc. It was a lot of fun.
Also at the event was the Lawrence fire engine and ambulance. We spent some time checking them both out. It was really neat.
Lots of buttons to push. I could have really had some fun with all of these buttons if only I would've had more time.
Grams and I hanging out on the front of the fire engine.
It was a beautiful day and our Hawks looked great, as usual. I think it's going to be another great season.

Easter 2009
My first time coloring Easter eggs was a lot of fun.
Of course, in this household we can turn eggs into race cars.

Aunt Julie came over to help me color eggs. As you can see from the photos the rest of the family rocked out to some Rock Band on the Wii in the back ground. They supplied the festive background music.
Mom celebrating on Easter eve with her bunny ears.
Thanks for helping Aunt Julie! My eggs turned out just awesome!
Easter morning I checked out the goodies that the Easter Bunny left me. I must have been good this year because I got a Lightning McQueen chair, as seen in the below picture along with some other goods. Thanks Easter Bunny! I'm already looking forward to your visit next year.
I was really fast on the Easter egg hunt. Mom had a hard time capturing any photos because I was running around so fast. I got lots of good practice in with the eggs that the Easter Bunny left at my house. I had to practice up because later in the day I had an Easter egg hunt that Grandma Linda sponsored. It was a combined event along with celebrating cousin Mile's 2nd birthday and cousin Annabell's 1st birthday. It was a long day filled with nothing but sugar highs and fun!Wednesday, April 15, 2009
Geese, geese and more geese
We've got a lot of catching up to do on this blog. We've been having so much fun, but we haven't had time to blog about everything as it happens, so we'll be playing catch up for several posts to come. A few weeks ago we were on our way to Grandma Linda's house when a large group of geese crossed in the middle of the road. So we stopped to look at them and say hello. Mind you, we're still in the city and in a residential neighborhood. All of a sudden a lady comes running out of her house with armfuls of old crunchy biscuits. She gives them to us so we can feed the geese. It turns out that there is a pond nearby this neighborhood and these geese frequent this lady's yard enough that she keeps stockpiles of old biscuits so that she can feed them each day. She is a very nice lady. Mom and dad let me get out and feed the geese and I had a blast. They were chasing me, I was chasing them, we were all running around chasing nothing. We've now made this road the special road to Grandma's house because you never know when the geese will be hanging out. The lady was so nice that she told us to come back everyday so that we could feed them. Don't think mom and dad were going for that, but maybe we'll do it again sometime soon. Thanks mysterious biscuit lady for providing the snacks for the geese. They really like it.

Happy Belated Birthday Daddy!
Sorry for the delayed post dad. We were so busy celebrating Dad's birthday yesterday that I didn't have time to work in a post. So, I'm giving a big shout out to my dad today! Thanks for being such a great dad and taking good care of me. You're definitely my best buddy. I love you lots. Thanks for everything you do! Happy Birthday Dad!
