Kindergarten Roundup for Reesing

Reesing could not be more excited to start school and today just confirmed it. Reesing and mom went to kindergarten round up and had a great time!  They met   a lot of new people, got to visit the classrooms & get ready to start thinking about kindergarten. For the next 4 months I think we're going to be hearing, "how many days until kindergarten starts?" a lot. Good luck Reesy Baby! Great job on being a big "not shy" girl today at round up. You're going to rock it!

Happy 40th birthday Dad!

We celebrated his birthday appropriately....with sombreros, chips & cheese dip, 3 hours cleaning his vehicle only to accidentally bomb his newly cleaned vehicle (and the entire garage, work bench, tools) with orange paint balls that came crashing down off of a shelf, all while trying to run his car battery down while cleaning and leaving a light on!  A birthday for the books and one to remember, but this family doesn't seem to really work any other way.  What a way to remind you that you're now 40!   Despite the attempt to sabotage your loved vehicle in every way possible, we do love you with all of our hearts.  Each and every one of us would be lost without you. You do so much for our family and ask for so little. Thanks for being an awesome dad.  Thanks for all the love and support. Thanks for making it to 40!

Easter 2015

The Easter holiday was a good one. The Easter bunny found the house and left lots of treasures behind. We did our fair share of coloring Easter eggs & prepping the house for the bunny's arrival. Manning -8, Reesing- 5, Kawlins-2.

So excited for spring!

We went to the park twice the other day just because it was so nice. We're all so happy that the sun is shining and winter is gone.

Dance Reesing Dance

Right now Reesing is taking dance classes at Point A dance studio & is preparing for a stage performance at Lawrence Arts Center in May! So mark your calendars! She also participated in a Lawrence High School cheerleading/dance clinic & performed in front of a full gym at a February home game. Her little shadow, KU, loved every moment of the game & watching We-We, yes once again Reesing's nickname is We-We, dance & cheer for the Lawrence Lions !!!

Valentine's Day 2015

Reesing had dance class early in the morning. Then Mom took us kids and a friend to the new Spongebob movie to celebrate Valentine's Day!

Dad's day with Reesing

Reesing and Dad had a boot scootin' good time at Dad's Day at pre-school.  They combined a celebration of Dads and Kansas' birthday.  Below is a great picture of the dynamic duo, who are so very much alike, personality wise.  This was Reesing's first day of school with 1 less tooth, so Dad's visit make everything a little extra special.  Thanks for all that you do for us Dad! We love you!

You can't handle the "tooth"

We are shy a few teeth in this household. I am missing my two front teeth and a few on the bottom row as well. The tooth fairy has been good to me. Then this week Reesing had to have one of her front teeth pulled early. The outcome of a tumble she took as an infant that must've damaged the tooth. So, she was a big girl and had her tooth pulled by the dentist. However, the tooth fairy paid a visit to Reesing and was very generous for the 1st tooth, especially since it had to be pulled. Mom was worried about her smile, but she's as cute as ever with the 1 missing tooth.  While we were at it, we decided to squeeze KU in for her 6 month check-up.  Let's hope we're done with the dentist for a little while.

Another fun-filled weekend celebrating my 8th birthday. It was a blast. Thanks to everyone who helped to make my day so special.  Who could imagine an 8 year old could eat do much cake without front teeth?!
